The Scottish Professional Football League has today confirmed the format and fixtures for the SPFL Reserve League and Reserve Cup for season 2024/25.
SPFL RESERVE LEAGUE & SPFL RESERVE CUP FIXTURES FOR SEASON 2024/25
Six clubs will participate in the SPFL Reserve League, which was won last season by Queen’s Park, and they will play each other twice across the season.
The SPFL Reserve League kicks off on Tuesday 27 August with matches scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoons across the season.
The 2024/25 SPFL Reserve Cup will begin on Tuesday 24 September. A total of 12 clubs are taking part – and the competing sides have been split into three groups of four on a broadly regional basis.
Clubs will play each other once and the winner of each group will progress to the semifinals. The best runner-up across the three groups will also qualify for the semi-finals.
Dunfermline Athletic defeated Livingston at the Home of the Set Fare Arena in April to win last season’s Reserve Cup.
