Queen of the South are fourth after beating East Fife 3-0 at Palmerston while Hamilton Accies saw off Peterhead 3-0 at Broadwood.
The Spartans saw their lead at the top of William Hill League 2 cut to four points after they drew 1-1 at Forfar Athletic and closest challengers East Kilbride beat Stirling Albion 2-0 at K-Park. Third-placed Clyde drew 0-0 with Stranraer at New Douglas Park and Elgin City climbed to fourth with a 3-1 win at bottom club Edinburgh City. Dumbarton beat Annan Athletic 2-1 to leapfrog their visitors in the table.
