Hearts beat Dons | Five for Falkirk | Saints stretch lead

Heart of Midlothian moved seven points clear at the top of the William Hill Premiership thanks to a 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Tynecastle, with Claudio Braga getting the all-important goal. Motherwell continued their impressive form by beating Dundee United 2-0 at Fir Park while Falkirk thumped Kilmarnock 5-1 to all but seal a top-six finish. Dundee and Hibernian drew 3-3 in a dramatic game at Dens Park while bottom club Livingston drew 1-1 with St Mirren in West Lothian. Rangers host Celtic on Sunday, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon.

St Johnstone are now five points clear in the William Hill Championship after beating Ayr United 3-1 at McDiarmid Park while title rivals Partick Thistle were held to a 0-0 draw by Arbroath at Firhill. Dunfermline Athletic moved into the play-off places with a 1-0 home win over Queen’s Park. Airdrieonians beat Morton 3-1 at the Albert Bartlett Stadium and Ross County saw off Raith Rovers 2-0 in Dingwall. 

Inverness CT saw their lead at the top of William Hill League 1 cut to three points after they were held to a 0-0 draw away to bottom club Kelty Hearts and second-placed Stenhousemuir beat Cove Rangers 1-0 at Ochilview. Alloa Athletic strengthened their grip on third spot by beating East Fife 2-0 at Bayview while Peterhead defeated fourth-placed Queen of the South 2-0 at Palmerston. Hamilton Accies and Montrose drew 1-1 at Broadwood.

East Kilbride maintained their five-point cushion at the summit of William Hill League 2 thanks to a 3-1 win over Clyde at New Douglas Park. Second-placed Spartans dismissed Annan Athletic 4-0 at Ainslie Park, helped by a Marc McNulty hat-trick. Elgin City moved to within a point of the play-offs thanks to a 2-1 victory over fourth-placed Stranraer at Stair Park. Stirling Albion and Dumbarton drew 1-1 at Forthbank while it was 0-0 between bottom club Edinburgh City and Forfar Athletic at Meadowbank Stadium.
