Hearts extend lead at the top

Heart of Midlothian beat Dundee United 3-0 at Tannadice on Saturday night to go seven points clear at the top of the table. Landry Kabore scored twice for the leaders in a game that saw the hosts finish with nine men. Kilmarnock defeated Aberdeen 3-0 at Rugby Park to claim their first William Hill Premiership win since October and move six points clear of bottom club Livingston, who lost 2-0 at home to Motherwell. St Mirren and Dundee drew 0-0 in Paisley. Hibernian host Rangers on Sunday (Premier Sports, 2.00pm) and Celtic face Falkirk at 3.00pm.

Ayr United moved into the play-off places in the William Hill Championship thanks to a 2-1 win over Raith Rovers at Somerset Park while Dunfermline Athletic went down 2-0 to Airdrieonians at East End Park. Queen's Park beat Arbroath 2-1 in Glasgow and Ross County are bottom of the table following their 2-1 loss to Morton at Cappielow.

Montrose were the only winners in William Hill League 1 today, defeating East Fife 3-2 at Bayview. Inverness CT stay top on goal difference after a 2-2 draw at third-placed Queen of the South while Stenhousemuir, in second, drew 2-2 with Peterhead at Ochilview. It was also 2-2 between fourth-placed Alloa Athletic and Cove Rangers at the Indodrill Stadium. Bottom club Kelty Hearts drew 0-0 with Hamilton Accies at New Central Park.

The Spartans saw their lead at the top of William Hill League 2 cut to six points after a 3-3 draw at Elgin City as second-placed East Kilbride saw off Forfar Athletic 3-1 at K-Park. Stirling Albion and Stranraer drew 1-1 at Forthbank and it was also 1-1 between Annan Athletic and Clyde at Galabank. Bottom club Edinburgh City are now just two points behind Dumbarton after a 2-1 away win over the Sons.
