A range of SPL club delegates met at McDiarmid Park on Monday for a Commercial and Media meeting. These meetings are held twice a year to update clubs on SPL matters and provide clubs with the opportunity to update the group on what is happening at their club.
Paul Smith, Commercial Manager at St Johnstone, said: “We were delighted to host the second Commercial and Media Meeting of the year. The meetings are a chance for club commercial and media staff to get together to discuss SPL issues and are also a great opportunity to exchange ideas and find out what other clubs are doing.”
David MacDermid, Head of Communications at Aberdeen, said: "It is always a worthwhile exercise for dialogue among the member teams of the SPL particularly at a time when there are so many challenges facing all of us, not least how we can attract new devotees to the enjoyment of the ‘live’ football experience.
"While we are in competition on the park, off the field we don’t compete for each other’s customers, which allows us, somewhat uniquely, all to share best practice. And from a purely selfish perspective, the decision to host the meeting at McDiarmid Park was a most welcome one.”
