Morton goalkeeper Colin Stewart is hoping that the build up to tonight’s Renfrewshire Cup Final against St Mirren at Cappielow is not as frantic as last years game. Stewart and his wife, Scotland Women’s record goalscorer Julie Fleeting, became parents to daughter Ella the day before the match in Paisley 12 months ago and the new Dad was still in a state of huge excitement when the game took place.
Stewart said, “To be honest I can not remember everything that happened after Ella was born, I just remember bringing Julie and her home and going straight out to play St Mirren. It was a strange feeling but it was a great time although we got beat 2-1. It has been a great year for us as a family although I am hoping that the lead up to tonight’s game is not as frantic.”
