Stuart Kettlewell leaves Motherwell

The club's board reluctantly accepted his resignation

Stuart Kettlewell has left his post as Motherwell manager in the wake of the club's 2-1 defeat to St. Johnstone.

Former Ross County boss Kettlewell took charge of the Steelmen in February 2023 but has tendered his resignation following back-to-back defeats to Saints.

Motherwell sit in fifth place in the William Hill Premiership with 31 points from 24 matches this season.

Under his leadership, Motherwell reached the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup before losing 2-1 to Rangers at Hampden.

Their Scottish Cup campaign came to an end with a 1-0 loss to St. Johnstone last weekend before a 2-1 league defeat which left the club on a run of one win in their last nine games.
