Celtic notched up their seventh straight league win, beating St Johnstone 2-0 at McDiarmid Park in the 12 noon kick-off. Saints almost earned a point but Leigh Griffiths marked his return by scoring with a 90th-minute header and Patryk Klimala added a second goal in stoppage time.
Rangers remain a point clear at the top of the table thanks to a 2-0 win over Ross County at Ibrox in the later game. Skipper James Tavernier converted a first-half penalty to take his tally to eight goals in eight matches and Brandon Barker struck late on.
