Team of the Week

Craig Fowler selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Ross County striker Billy Mckay the star man for his hat-trick against Morton.

GK - Mark Ridgers (Inverness CT)
Inverness Caley Thistle drew their fifth game in a row – 0-0 away to Alloa. The Wasps shaded the 90 minutes and Ridgers was the busier of the two keepers.

DR - Jason Thomson (Arbroath)
The right-back impressed as Arbroath extended their lead at the top of League 1 to seven points thanks to a 1-0 triumph over Stranraer.

DC - Scott McKenna (Aberdeen)
The centre-back, along with defensive partner Michael Devlin, was immense in Aberdeen's 1-0 victory over Rangers in the semi-final of the Betfred Cup.

DC - Michael Rose (Ayr United)
Whether it was Rose or team-mate Craig Moore who scored the winning goal against Partick Thistle, the centre-back still deserves a spot in this team for a towering display as Ian McCall's men won 1-0 to stay just behind leaders Ross County.

DL - Ross Forbes (Dumbarton)
The attacking midfielder seemed an unlikely choice as full-back for Dumbarton's match with in-form East Fife but it turned out to be a masterstroke from new boss Jim Duffy. Forbes excelled as his team ran out 4-0 winners.

MC - Josh Todd (Queen of the South)
Todd gave Falkirk’s defence a tough time as Queens emerged with a 2-0 victory from a match that could have been won by a lot more.

MC - Andy Black (Edinburgh City)
Not for the first time this season, Black was able to control the midfield area as City kept their fine form going and maintained a two-point lead at the top of League 2. This time James McDonaugh's men defeated Stirling Albion 1-0 with a Craig Thomson goal.

MC - Ryan Christie (Celtic)
Christie's introduction at half-time during the Betfred Cup semi-final with Hearts changed the game in Celtic's favour. The midfielder won the penalty for Scott Sinclair's opener, had the shot which drew an error from goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal, enabling James Forrest to score, and netted the third in the 3-0 win.

FC - Billy Mckay (Ross County)
A hat-trick for the striker helped the Ladbrokes Championship leaders record a 5-0 victory over Morton. The result was enough to keep the Highlanders a point clear of Ayr at the top of the table, and Mckay is this week's star man.

FC - Martin Rennie (Montrose)
Montrose moved to within a point of safety thanks to a 3-1 triumph away to local rivals Brechin City. Helping them earn such a well-needed boost was Rennie, who netted twice at Glebe Park.

FC - Derek Lyle (Peterhead)
Another double, this time from the veteran Peterhead striker as the Blue Toon kept two points behind leaders Edinburgh City thanks to a 3-1 victory away to Clyde.
