Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from The Terrace TV selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Hibs striker Christian Doidge the star man...

GK - Blair Currie (Stirling Albion)
Stirling Albion went to free-scoring Cove Rangers on Saturday and almost left with a point and a clean sheet thanks to a strong defensive display and the heroics of Currie. In the end, it was a late Mitch Megginson penalty that ended their seven-game unbeaten run.

DC - Steven Anderson (Raith Rovers)
The centre-back was fantastic in Rovers' 3-1 win over Stranraer, marshalling the defence and helping his side return to the top of the Ladbrokes League 1 table.

DC - Tam O'Ware (Partick Thistle)
Something had to give in the Championship on Saturday. Partick Thistle had lost all five league games at home, while visitors Morton had lost all six on their travels. In the end, despite having a man sent off, it was Thistle who bucked the trend to dig out a vital win. O'Ware put in a captain's performance at the back to ensure the Jags weren't cut adrift at the bottom.

DC - Paul Watson (Dundee United)
United now have a six-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship thanks to Friday's 2-0 away win over rivals Dundee. It wasn't the most entertaining of matches, with defences on top for long spells, but that didn't matter to Robbie Neilson's men, who used a terrific performance from centre-back Watson as the basis to earn victory.

MR - Scott Stewart (Arbroath)
The former Airdrie wide player put in one of his most impressive performances in an Arbroath jersey so far, starring and scoring for the Red Lichties in their 3-0 triumph over Inverness CT.

MC - Kurtis Roberts (Airdrieonians)
The midfielder's seemingly limitless energy was a big catalyst in Airdrie upsetting Falkirk on their own turf. Ian Murray's League 1 outfit made it three wins on the trot at the home of the Bairns, with Calum Gallagher netting a 94th minute winner.

MC - Niall McGinn (Aberdeen)
One of only two Ladbrokes Premiership players to appear in this team despite it being a high-scoring weekend in the top flight. The winger curled in a free-kick to equalise for the Dons during their trip to Ross County and stood out as the best player on the pitch in the 3-1 win for the away side.

ML - Danny Denholm (East Fife)
Having been mainly used from the bench this season, Denholm was given a start on Saturday and took full advantage of the opportunity, scoring once and impressing throughout as East Fife ran out 4-2 winners away to Dumbarton.

FC - Christian Doidge (Hibernian)
It was a close run thing between Doidge and his strike-partner Florian Kamberi, but we couldn't leave out the only hat-trick hero from the weekend. Doidge hadn't scored in the league since joining Hibs from Forest Green Rovers in the summer, but he sure put an end to that barren spell in the 4-1 win over St Johnstone.

FC - Rory McAllister (Peterhead)
The veteran striker bullied Clyde's centre-backs, netted two goals and was the undoubted match-winner as Peterhead went to the home of their fellow promoted side and won 2-1.

FC - Salim Kouider-Aissa (Queen's Park)
That's four goals in three games for the Hampden hitman, taking his tally up to eight for the season, as he struck twice in the 5-2 win over Brechin. The Spiders looked in trouble just a couple of weeks ago, but two victories, and eight goals scored, has them up into fifth place in the bottom tier.
