GK - Jon McLaughlin (Rangers)
Rangers set a new SPL/SPFL era record by starting the season with six consecutive clean sheets, five of which were earned with McLaughlin between the sticks. He made a key contribution to that record on Saturday, making a terrific save from Shaun Want in the 2-0 win over Hamilton Accies.
DC - Tommie Hoban (Aberdeen)
The centre-back impressed as Aberdeen went to Easter Road, ended the home side's unbeaten start to the season and made it three league wins on the bounce with a 1-0 success.
DC - Jason Kerr (St Johnstone)
Excellent in defence against St Mirren's robust striker Jonathan Obika, Kerr also contributed to the attack by charging forward and giving another threat for the Buddies' back-line to worry about.
DC - Efe Ambrose (Livingston)
Started in his natural position for the first time this season and excelled as Livingston defeated Ross County on Saturday. In addition to his defensive duties, Ambrose's range of passing was a major plus for the West Lothian side in their 1-0 triumph.
MR - Danny McNamara (St Johnstone)
The loanee from Millwall continued his excellent start to the season with another impressive showing in Saints' 1-0 win over St Mirren. He even came close to a goal but was denied by an excellent Jak Alnwick stop in the second half.
MC - Craig Conway (St Johnstone)
It may seem excessive to have three St Johnstone players in the team considering it was just a 1-0 victory for Callum Davidson's men, but the scoreline masked how dominant the Perth side were for large parts. A big reason for that was Conway, who excelled in the No 10 role, making a stream of intelligent runs to create space for team-mates or to get on the ball himself and make things happen, just like he did setting up the winner for Stevie May.
MC - Ross McCrorie (Aberdeen)
Derek McInnes sang the praises of his recent signing after the 1-0 win at Easter Road. McCrorie's energy, athleticism and willingness not only to get into scraps with opponents, but to also get forward and support the attack, was a major factor in Aberdeen's victory.
MC - Callum McGregor (Celtic)
It maybe wasn't the best of performances from Celtic, particularly first half, against Motherwell at the weekend but they got the job done with an important 3-0 win. McGregor's movement and use of the ball made him the top player in green-and-white hoops.
ML - Greg Kiltie (Kilmarnock)
Brought into the starting line-up for the visit of Dundee United, Kiltie was one of many stand-outs for the Rugby Park side as they thumped the away team 4-0. He even managed to get himself a couple of assists, including the lay-off which aided Rory McKenzie in scoring a goal-of-the-season contender.
FC - Ryan Kent (Rangers)
He didn't manage to register a goal or an assist, but there's no denying that Kent was electric on Saturday evening as Rangers easily swept aside Hamilton in Lanarkshire.
FC - Nicke Kabamba (Kilmarnock)
He was perhaps overshadowed by McKenzie's ridiculously good finish, but Kabamba was the best player on the park. Not only did he manage to bag himself two goals, his strength, aerial ability and link-up play were all superb and a major thorn in the side of Dundee United. For this contribution, Kabamba is our star man.
