Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace names his SPFL Team of the Week, with Morton striker Gary Oliver the star man...

GK - Liam Kelly (Motherwell)
The Motherwell custodian did exactly what you'd want from a player recently left out of the Scotland squad - to go out in his next game and try to prove the manager wrong. Kelly was excellent in the 2-0 win at Aberdeen, making big saves to help his side claim three points.

DEF - Fernandy Mendy (Alloa Athletic)
We're squeezing in four centre-backs this week, two of them from cinch League 1. Alloa Athletic earned an impressive 1-1 draw away to Falkirk, with Mendy standing out for the visitors.

DEF - Aaron Steele (East Fife)
The 19-year-old put in a highly-encouraging display as the third tier's bottom side earned a 1-1 draw away to Queen's Park, helping to knock the former leaders from the summit thanks to Kieran Millar's 95th-minute equaliser.

DEF - James McGowan (Albion Rovers)
McGowan got a goal and contributed to an away clean sheet as Albion Rovers went to Edinburgh City on Friday and hammered the hosts 4-0.

DEF - Thomas O’Ware (Kelty Hearts)
Tam O'Ware has played left-back before, right? OK, well regardless, he's playing there in this team. The Kelty Hearts centre-back was one of the stand-outs as the cinch League 2 leaders increased their advantage at the top to seven points with a 1-0 win at Cowdenbeath.

MID - Jota (Celtic)
Another terrific performance from the on-loan Benfica winger helped Ange Postecoglou's side to three points as they defeated Dundee 4-2 at Dens Park on Sunday. Jota notched two goals and an assist to keep Celtic four points behind rivals Rangers in the cinch Premiership.

MID - Juninho Bacuna (Rangers)
The summer signing from Huddersfield Town announced his arrival as another major threat for the champions as he netted in the Ibrox club's 4-2 home victory over Ross County.

MID - Kerr McInroy (Airdrieonians)
Four victories in five matches have taken Ian Murray's men to the top of cinch League 1. The latest opponent to be vanquished were Peterhead, who were beaten 3-1 in Lanarkshire with McInroy getting the second goal and helping to dominate the midfield area.

MID - Ben Woodburn (Hearts)
Moved into a central striker's position for the weekend's match, Woodburn repaid the faith of manager Robbie Neilson with his first two goals for the Tynecastle club, including a wonderfully-caressed finish for his second in the 5-2 triumph over Dundee United.

FWD - Gary Oliver (Morton)
Oliver netted the opener, kept his cool to put the game beyond doubt from the penalty spot and cleared a shot off the line as Morton went to Dunfermline Athletic and won 3-1. For his multi-tooled contribution to such a big away result, we're awarding him this week's star man.

FWD - Zak Rudden (Partick Thistle)
The striker put in a tireless shift, was a constant menace and scored the only goal of the game as Partick Thistle rode the striker's early opener to take all three points from their trip to cinch Championship leaders Kilmarnock.
