Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace names his SPFL Team of the Week, with Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland the star man

GK - Zach Hemming (Kilmarnock)
Killie beat Ross County at the weekend to take themselves three points clear of their visitors in the cinch Premiership table. This may not have been possible were it not for Hemming keeping the Staggies at bay and preserving a clean sheet in the 1-0 triumph.

DEF - Nicky Devlin (Livingston)
Livingston were minutes away from securing a famous win at Ibrox. Even though they were denied in injury time by John Lundstram's equaliser, they still deserve praise for a terrific defensive performance. Devlin was one of many to stand out in the 1-1 draw.

DEF - Scott Taggart (Alloa Athletic)
Taggart got a goal and put in a fine display as Brian Rice's side bounced back from defeat in their previous game to beat cinch League 1 bottom side Peterhead 2-0 at Balmoor.

DEF - Ricky Little (Arbroath)
The Red Lichties earned a huge win in the relegation six-pointer in the cinch Championship this past weekend. The 1-0 victory over Hamilton Accies moved Dick Campbell's side above their visitors on goal difference, with Little part of a colossal defensive performance.

DEF - Tommy Robson (Queen's Park)
Robson was one of several players to star as Queen's Park upset the odds by going to former landlords Partick Thistle, the team previously atop the division, and winning with a resounding 4-0 thumping.

MID - Keanu Baccus (St Mirren)
The midfielder was in good form once again as St Mirren bettered Dundee United with a 2-1 victory in Paisley. Known for some of his goalscoring exploits this season, Baccus was the interception king as his ball-winning abilities set up Stephen Robinson's side for several threatening counters.

MID - Reo Hatate (Celtic)
Another place in this team for the man who could well be leading the early charge for this season's Player of the Year. The Japanese international once again pulled the strings in the middle as Ange Postecoglou's side edged a seven-goal thriller against Hearts at Tynecastle.

MID - Ylber Ramadani (Aberdeen)
A composed and influential showing from the Albanian midfielder helped Jim Goodwin's Dons to three points at Fir Park as Aberdeen ended their recent poor record in Lanarkshire with 2-1 win.

FWD - Lawrence Shankland (Heart of Midlothian)
This week's star man is a rare one in that he comes from a losing side. Substitute Shankland struck a hat-trick, including two from the penalty spot, as Hearts gave as good as they got against the reigning champions before succumbing to a 4-3 defeat at Tynecastle.

FWD - Alfredo Agyeman (Kelty Hearts)
Two goals (in the opening eight minutes) and an assist from the striker helped Kelty to a huge result in cinch League 1, winning 3-2 at promotion contenders Falkirk. The result takes John Potter's side nine points away from the relegation spots and to within five points of the top four.

FWD - Ouzy See (FC Edinburgh)
Edinburgh bounced back from defeat at East End Park the previous week to move back to within one point of Dunfermline Athletic at the top of League 1. This past weekend it was Airdrieonians being put to the sword, as they were beaten 3-1 at Meadowbank, with See netting the second.
