GK - Craig Gordon (Heart of Midlothian)
Scotland’s No.1 suffered a devastating leg break during his side’s 2-2 draw at Tannadice and his absence is sure to be a huge blow for club and country. However, this isn’t a sympathy vote. Before the unfortunate incident, Gordon still produced a stunning save to keep Hearts in the match at 2-1.
DEF - Josh Grigor (Bonnyrigg Rose)
Rose pushed themselves three points off the bottom in cinch League 2 after a 3-2 victory over Stranraer on Friday night. Young defender Grigor was the stand out on the evening.
DEF - Callum Crane (Edinburgh)
Crane was stationed in the centre of the park for Edinburgh’s home match with Peterhead and the defender excelled in the 4-0 triumph, including bagging a thoroughly deserved goal.
DEF - Adam Devine (Rangers)
The youngster kept up his impressive recent form with another energetic showing in Rangers’ 1-0 win over Ross County in the cinch Premiership on Friday night. He’s now making a real case to be considered the club’s first-choice left-back even with Borna Barisic returning from the World Cup.
MID - Callumn Morrison (Falkirk)
The winger bagged a brace as Falkirk netted three late goals to defeat Queen of the South 5-2 on Friday evening.
MID - Mark O’Hara (St Mirren)
The all-action midfielder was the clear star man as the Buddies came from behind to defeat Aberdeen 3-1 in Paisley. He scored from the penalty spot and had another find its way into the back of the net after initially striking the post and hitting off Dons keeper Kelle Roos.
MID - Reo Hatate (Celtic)
Is Hatate the player of the season so far? There’s certainly a strong case to be made after another excellent showing, and scoring two goals, in Celtic’s comfortable 4-1 win over St Johnstone at Parkhead.
MID - Grant Savoury (Queen’s Park)
This week’s star man comes from the cinch Championship where the Spiders thumped hosts Arbroath at Gayfield to move second in the table, a point off Dundee at the top. Savoury scored twice to continue his excellent goal scoring form this term.
MID - Luke McCowan (Dundee)
Another player who bagged a double, McCowan helped Dundee go top of the pile in the Championship despite getting a man sent off early in their trip to previous leaders Ayr United. A second red after the break, this time given to the hosts, readdressed the balance and gave Dundee the platform to win.
FWD - Elie Youan (Hibernian)
Kyle Magennis may have scored twice but it was Youan who was the star at Easter Road as Hibs took full advantage of a Jason Holt red card to beat Livingston 4-0. He had two assists, was very direct, crossed it well and was unlucky not to score himself.
FWD - Aidan Fitzpatrick (Partick Thistle)
Thistle are starting to find some form again in the second tier as they battered Inverness 5-1 at Firhill to move within four points of the summit - though they remain in fifth. Fitzpatrick was excellent and bagged a couple of assists.
