Team of the Week

CRAIG FOWLER FROM A VIEW FROM THE TERRACE NAMES HIS SPFL TEAM OF THE WEEK, WITH HAT-TRICK HERO LYALL CAMERON THE STAR MAN!

GK - Paddy Martin (Bonnyrigg Rose)

The Rosey Posey won another huge game, beating Stranraer 1-0 at New Dundas Park as they look to steer clear of the cinch League 2 pyramid play-off place. Martin came up big, particularly at the end by rushing from his line to deny Daryl Duffy with a point-blank save.

DEF - Alistair Johnston (Celtic)

Celtic remain nine points ahead in the cinch Premiership title race after a 2-0 victory over Ross County on Sunday. They were made to work for the win, with Johnston's lung-bursting runs up and down the flank a key factor in the triumph.

DEF - Joe Shaughnessy (St Mirren)

The club captain was restored to the starting XI for the visit of St Mirren and put in an excellent performance in a 3-0 win for the Buddies over Livingston. The triumph means Stephen Robinson's side leap above the visitors in the race for the top six.

DEF - Callum Fordyce (Airdrieonians)

Airdrie remain the form team in cinch League 1. While they’ve scored a barrel load of goals in recent weeks, one was enough for victory over Alloa Athletic with Fordyce a rock at the back for the visitors.

MID - Aaron Dunsmore (Stirling Albion)

Stirling Albion extended their advantage in the cinch League 2 title race thanks to a 3-0 win at Elgin coupled with Dumbarton’s home defeat to Stenhousemuir. Dunsmore was huge in the Binos’ latest win, scoring the first and setting up the second.

MID - Sean Goss (Motherwell)

The midfielder netted the opening goal with an excellent free-kick and that gave him the confidence needed to completely run the show as Motherwell defeated Hibs 3-1 at Easter Road.

MID - David Watson (Kilmarnock)

Once again the youngster makes Team of the Week for an eye-catching performance at Rugby Park. This time his energy and tenacity helped Killie nullify the Hearts midfield and emerge with a 2-1 win to further improve their chances of avoiding relegation.

MID - Lyall Cameron (Dundee)

This week’s star man comes from the best performance from a team in the SPFL weekend. After the high of their SPFL Trust Trophy victory last weekend, Hamilton experienced a very different feeling as Dundee scored seven without reply. Cameron helped himself to a hat-trick.

MID - Aidan Connolly (Raith Rovers)

Two assists from Connolly helped the Rovers to bounce back from their SPFL Trust Trophy Final disappointment with a 2-0 win over Queen's Park in Kirkcaldy.

MID - Malik Tillman (Rangers)

Two goals from the on-loan Bayern Munich midfielder saw Rangers beat Dundee United 2-0 in the cinch Premiership to remain nine points behind rivals Celtic at the top.

FWD - Aidan Smith (Annan Athletic)

Our lone striker left it late to make an indelible mark on his team's fortunes at the weekend as Smith struck in the 90th minute to defeat East Fife and allow Annan to jump back above their opponents into third place in the League Two play-off chase.
