Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his SPFL XI with Ross County's Ross Laidlaw the Star Man...

GK - Ross Laidlaw (Ross County)

Laidlaw put in a man-of-the-match performance, including saving a game-winning penalty, during Ross County's 1-0 victory away at Kilmarnock on Saturday in the cinch Premiership. For such a vital contribution to his side's success, we're giving him this week's star man.

DEF - Lewis Miller (Hibs)

The Australian had a tough assignment going up against Aberdeen star man Duk during Hibernian's trip to Pittodrie, but much like his team, he undoubtedly won the battle in the 2-0 triumph.

DEF - Liam Scales (Celtic)

A couple of key injuries at the back meant Scales was required to start in Sunday's Old Firm encounter, the first of the season, but you wouldn't have known it from his performance. The Irishman was the epitome of composure as Brendan Rodgers' side left Ibrox with all three points thanks to a first-half Kyogo Furuhashi goal.

DEF - Luiyi de Lucas (Livingston)

Initially brought to the club in January, de Lucas has been outstanding so far this campaign for the Lions and he kept up that form with another brilliant performance in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren. He even looked to have won the game in the 89th minute, but St Mirren's injury-time persistence paid off and it ended up a share of the spoils.

DEF - Owen Beck (Dundee)

Though his team surrendered a late 2-0 advantage, that takes nothing away from the excellent performance of the left-back, who was a constant menace down the flank as Dundee deservedly built their lead before St Johnstone fought back.

MID - Callumn Morrison (Falkirk)

Falkirk moved to the top of the cinch League 1 table with a 2-0 victory at Edinburgh City, their third win on the bounce. Morrison was a terror to the home defence and netted the all-important second goal just after the interval.

MID - Craig Brown (Montrose)

The Mo managed to secure a big three points which could help to kickstart their cinch League 1 campaign as they defeated Queen of the South 3-2 at Palmerston. Brown displayed some impressively hard running from deep and used it to score twice.

MID - Angus Mailer (Bonnyrigg Rose)

The Rosey Posey are top of cinch League 2 after a 5-1 hammering of Elgin City at New Dundas Park. Though Mailer didn't manage to get on the scoresheet, his play in the centre of the park helped set the foundations for the one-sided win in Midlothian.

MID - Max Kucheriavyi (St Johnstone)

A second entry from the four-goal Tayside derby draw at McDiarmid Park at the weekend. The young Ukrainian came off the bench to save his side from defeat, netting two late goals to make it two games undefeated for Steven MacLean's men.

FW - Callum Smith (Raith Rovers)

One-nill up against ten men, Rovers appeared to be coasting to victory over Queen's Park in the cinch Championship but the visitors turned the game on its head with Rovers finding themselves 2-1 down late on. Lewis Vaughan would rise from the bench to net twice and turn things around at the death. He was helped in that final goal by an assist from Smith, who also netted the opener and was the most impressive player on the day for Ian Murray's men.

FW - Brian Graham (Partick Thistle)

It's two wins in a row for Partick Thistle in the cinch Championship as they netted four goals as they got the better of Greenock Morton at Cappielow. Skipper Brian Graham grabbed two of those goals and led the line brilliantly for Kris Doolan's Jags.
