GK – Kasper Schmeichel (Celtic)
Celtic are the first trophy winners of the Scottish football season after defeating Rangers on penalties in the Premier Sports Cup final. Schmeichel ultimately proved to be the hero, making the decisive save from Ridvan Yilmaz in the shoot-out after a 3-3 draw.
DEF – Dylan Smith (Arbroath)
An excellent showing from the Ross County loanee, who looked very composed at right-back and netted the opening goal, helped Arbroath to go top of William Hill League One.
DEF – Joe Wright (Kilmarnock)
Killie were able to pick up a huge three points amid recent struggles despite losing Robbie Deas to a red card just six minutes into their William Hill Premiership clash with Hearts. They were helped by a stellar defensive performance from Wright, including winning the penalty from which Bruce Anderson scored the game's only goal.
DEF – Scott McMann (Ayr United)
McMann was in superb form in defence and got himself on the scoresheet as Ayr United gave Falkirk only their third defeat of the William Hill Championship season as Scott Brown's hosts defeated the Bairns by five goals to two.
MID – Steven Bradley (Hamilton Accies)
Two goals and some excellent wing play from the former Hibs attacker saw Hamilton Accies return to winning ways in the Championship after four consecutive defeats with a 2-1 home triumph over Queen's Park.
MID – Scott Pittman (Livingston)
The veteran midfielder defied his advancing years to cover every blade of (synthetic) grass as Livingston pulled themselves to within five points of Falkirk at the top of the Championship (with a game in hand) after beating Partick Thistle 2-0 on Friday night.
MID – Shaun Byrne (Raith Rovers)
It has been a difficult season for Rovers so far but they managed to reclaim bragging rights in the Fife Derby with a 2-0 home victory over Dunfermline Athletic. Byrne was tenacity personified in the centre of the park.
MID – Cammy Russell (Spartans)
Spartans are picking up form in the fourth-tier after defeating Clyde 3-2 at the weekend to make it three victories in their last four games. Russell was a big reason for Saturday's result, scoring twice.
FW – Apostolos Stamatelopoulos (Motherwell)
Two goals, an assist and a man-of-the-match performance from the Australian striker was the deciding factor in Motherwell outlasting Dundee United in a seven-goal thriller at Fir Park.
FW – Russell McLean (Forfar Athletic)
This week's Star Man comes from William Hill League Two as Forfar got themselves something of a statement win under new boss Jim Weir with a 5-1 thumping of Bonnyrigg Rose as they seek to lift themselves off the foot of the SPFL. McLean bagged a hat-trick for the second game running!
FW – Tommy Muir (Annan Athletic)
Talking of statement wins, Annan got themselves a big one as they seek to stay above the two clubs in administration in League One by going to one of them, Dumbarton, and thumping them 5-1. Muir scored with an excellent finish and was a real handful throughout.
