Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his William Hill SPFL XI

GK – Harry Stone (Ayr United)

Falkirk have extended their lead at the top of the William Hill Championship back to five points thanks, in large part, to the heroics of Harry Stone who put in a terrific performance to help third-place Ayr United win 1-0 at second-place Livingston.

DEF – Lee Ashcroft (Partick Thistle)

A dominant showing from the centre-half helped Partick Thistle to a 2-0 victory at Airdrieonians which helps solidify their second-tier play-off place, moving five ahead of Queen's park in fifth.

DEF – Kevin Holt (Dundee United)

United bounced back from conceding four times at Motherwell last weekend to keep a clean sheet against reigning champions and league leaders Celtic, holding them to a 0-0 draw at Tannadice in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.

DEF – Lee Hamilton (Clyde)

A performance that had both aggression and poise, Hamilton played a key part in Clyde getting themselves a huge victory in William Hill League Two, defeating Forfar Athletic 2-0 to move five points clear of the Loons at the bottom.

MID – Martin Boyle (Hibs)

This week's Star Man comes from the match at Pittodrie where Hibs were able to defeat Aberdeen 3-1 to make it three victories from their last four in the top flight. Boyle was such a menace for the visitors, notching two assists and scoring once in the win.

MID – Cammy Devlin (Hearts)

The diminutive Australian put in a terrifically tenacious display as Hearts defeated St Johnstone 2-1 on Sunday to move off the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table.

MID – Finlay Gray (Dumbarton)

There's fight in these Sons yet. William Hill League One's bottom team went into Saturday's trip to Montrose bottom of the table with a three-match winless run in the league, but they pulled off a surprising result, winning 2-1. Gray and midfield-partner Sena Niang were dominant in the centre, but Gray gets the nod for his two goals.

MID – Connor McManus (East Fife)

McManus netted once and stood out above his team-mates as East Fife put in a thoroughly impressive display in League Two, thumping Spartans 5-1 to remain a point behind Peterhead at the top of the table.

MID – Ianis Hagi (Rangers)

The Romanian looks like he's got a new lease on life since returning to the Ibrox first-team and kept up his impressive recent form with another lively showing as Rangers bettered Dundee on Saturday, winning 1-0 in a game which was more one-sided than the scoreline suggested.

FW – Gavin Reilly (Arbroath)

A terrorising performance from their centre forward was just one of many things which went Arbroath's way at the weekend as they hammered Annan Athletic 4-0 away from home to keep their place at the top of the table. Reilly scored twice in the victory.

FW – Ross Cunningham (Kelty Hearts)

Another double goalscorer in League Two, this time from Kelty's 2-0 victory over Queen of the South. Cunningham inspired his side to another three points which keep them within two of Arbroath at the summit.
