GK - Shay Kelly (Dumbarton)
Dumbarton earned a point in their William Hill League 2 clash with Elgin City and Kelly can take credit for his part in the performance. The young shot stopper was excellent across the 90 minutes, including a fine late stop from a ferocious Olly McDonald free-kick.
DEF - Alistair Johnston (Celtic)
The right-back was on the scoresheet as the Premier Sports Cup holders began their defence of the crown with a 4-1 win over Falkirk. Johnston was a menace down the right flank all game for Brendan Rodgers' side.
DEF - Archie Graham (Stenhousemuir)
Stenny enjoyed a productive trip to the Highlands as they ran out 2-1 winners over Inverness CT. With both sides trading penalties, Ross Taylor scored the winner for the Warriors but it was young Archie Graham's display at the back which really caught the eye.
DEF - Miguel Freckleton (St Mirren)
The summer signing excelled as St Mirren got the better of Heart of Midlothian on penalty kicks following a 1-1 draw in their Premier Sports Cup tie.
MID - Kai Kennedy (Queen of the South)
Queens returned to winning ways in style this past weekend in William Hill League 1, putting four goals past newly-promoted Peterhead without reply. Kennedy was superb on the wing and helped himself to a goal.
MID - Brad Lyons (Kilmarnock)
It was a big week for the Killie captain. He became a father for the first time at the start of the week and ended it with the winning goal to see Killie past Dundee United and earn a place in the Premier Sports Cup last eight.
MID - Miguel Chaiwa (Hibs)
Thrown right into the starting XI for his debut, the recent signing from Young Boys impressed tremendously in the centre of the park as Hibs defeated Livingston 2-0 to reach the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals.
MID - Ts'oanelo Lets'osa (Partick Thistle)
Thistle were brilliant on Saturday as they defeated Ayr United 2-0 in an all-Championship tie in the Premier Sports Cup. Lets'osa, a summer signing from Lommel in Belgium, was the pick of the bunch but many in home colours could have been selected.
MID - Ross MacLean (Forfar Athletic)
Forfar continued their strong start to the William Hill League 2 season, defeating Stirling Albion 4-2 at Station Park. MacLean bagged two goals and dazzled on the wing for Jim Weir's side.
FWD - Robert Jones (East Fife)
Talk about super sub! Jones came off the bench at half-time and swing the match in East Fife's favour with two quickfire goals as the men from Methil defeated Hamilton Accies 2-1 on the road.
FWD - David Eguaibor (Cove Rangers)
This week's Star Man comes from the third tier and arguably the weekend's most dramatic SPFL game. Cove played most of the game against ten men and saw Eguaibor score twice, but they still found themselves trailing 3-2 to Montrose going into injury time. But Equaibor struck again to complete his hat-trick and ensure a thrilling 3-3 draw.
