Partick Thistle have risen to second in the William Hill Championship after a 1-0 victory over Queen's Park.

Tony Watt scored the only goal of the game after seven minutes to ensure Mark Wilson's men are the closest challengers to league leaders, St. Johnstone.

Watt has scored in back-to-back league matches and has three goals in total in the William Hill Championship this term.

Thistle host Arbroath on Saturday while Queen's Park, who sit eighth in the table, travel to Fife to face Dunfermline Athletic.
