Former Dundee defender James Thomson, who was the captain of their under-20 side this season and recently had a loan spell at East Fife, has joined junior side Broughty Athletic.
The 19-year-old, who made one top team appearance, was released just before the transfer window closed and he joins former Dundee United and Scotland under-21 player Jamie McCunnie at Whitton Park after his recent move from Stirling Albion.
