Three to watch

Big weekend of football coming up in the SPFL...

There are no cinch Premiership fixtures this weekend but there are big games across the other divisions - here are three matches to look out for on Saturday.

cinch Championship - Kilmarnock v Partick Thistle
Killie have a two-point lead over Arbroath at the top after March wins over Hamilton Accies, Ayr United and Queen of the South. The Jags had title aspirations of their own until recently but are now fourth, three points ahead of Raith Rovers. Ian McCall's men are looking to bounce back after conceding four goals to Hamilton last week and another four at Dunfermline on Tuesday.

cinch League 1 – Airdrieonians v Cove Rangers
It’s a huge game at the Penny Cars Stadium as the Diamonds host Cove. The visitors have a five-point advantage at the top and a win would be a big step towards the title for Paul Hartley’s men, who are unbeaten in League 1 since October. Airdrie have also been in superb form, with five wins and a draw in their last six outings.

cinch League 2 – Kelty Hearts v Stenhousemuir
Kelty are closing in on the title and could even clinch it this weekend – they need to beat the Warriors and hope closest challengers Annan Athletic lose at home to Albion Rovers. Kevin Thomson’s side are unbeaten at New Central Park this season, with 12 wins and three draws. Stenhousemuir have drawn their last two games and are two points behind Edinburgh City in the race for the play-offs.
