Arne Engels converted a stoppage-time penalty to deny Dundee a famous win against Celtic as a thrilling William Hill Premiership match at Dens Park ended 3-3.
The leaders were twice ahead through Luke McCowan and Hyunjun Yang but Oluwaseun Adewumi and a Cameron Carter-Vickers own goal saw the Dark Blues hit back. Aaron Donnelly gave Tony Docherty’s men the lead in 78 minutes but they were denied a first win over Celtic since 2001 when Engels scored from the spot to take Brendan Rodgers' team 16 points clear.
Ayr United moved to within two points of leaders Falkirk in the William Hill Championship thanks to a 2-0 win away to Dunfermline Athletic with goals from Jay Henderson and George Oakley. Livingston are just two points further back in third spot following their 2-1 home victory over bottom club Airdrieonians - Robbie Fraser scored the winning goal after 59 minutes.
