A Kal Naismith hat-trick helped Clydesdale Bank U19 League leaders Rangers to a 4-1 win over Hibernian at the weekend to keep them three points ahead of Celtic, who have a game in hand.
Christian Kisuka's early opener was cancelled out by Calum Burns but Naismith restored Rangers' advantage in 65 minutes and added a late double to seal the points.
U19 League top marksman James Keatings scored yet again as Celtic defeated St Mirren 5-0 at Lennoxtown, where both Callum McGregor and Liam Gormley weighed in with doubles.
Hearts are up to third spot following a 1-0 win against Motherwell thanks to a Jason Holt goal while Aberdeen drop a place after a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone. Callum McRobbie gave the Dons the lead but Ricky McIntosh equalised midway through the second half.
It was also 1-1 between Hamilton and Dundee United. Accies were ahead through Lee Kilday but Ross Smith equalised before half-time.
Kilmarnock defeated bottom club Inverness CT 2-1. Calum Dingwall opened the scoring but a trialist soon equalised for Killie and Gary Fisher claimed the winner with 14 minutes left.
