Group A
Mark McKenzie's goal was enough to see Ayr United past Stenhousemuir 1-0 while in Clackmannanshire, cinch League 1 new boys Stirling Albion defeated local rivals Alloa Athletic 2-1 at the Indodrill.

Group B
In Tuesday's live televised match, goals from Brian Graham and Harry Milne saw Partick Thistle run out 2-1 winners at Tannadice to condemn Dundee United to a second successive defeat in the group stage. The Spartans, who beat United on Saturday, lost out 2-1 at home to Falkirk.

Group C
Hamilton Accies maintained their perfect start to Group C with Kevin O'Hara's penalty securing three points against Highland League outfit, Brechin City. Cove Rangers got the better of cinch League 2 Clyde as they won 5-2 at the Balmoral Stadium.

Group D
It is two wins from two for Greenock Morton as they won 3-0 against Stranraer at Cappielow. Jack Baird, Cameron Blues and Robbie Crawford were the scorers for Dougie Imrie's men. Edinburgh City take on Kelty Hearts on Wednesday evening.

Group E
Dundee started life under new boss Tony Docherty with a victory as a Zak Rudden goal proved to be the winner as the Dark Blues beat Bonnyrigg Rose 1-0 at New Dundas Park. In the group's other game, cinch League 2 side Dumbarton got the better of last season's Scottish Cup finalists Inverness CT, winning 2-1. Billy Mckay's consolation goal for the Highlanders saw him equal Dennis Wyness' goal scoring record - with both men level on 101 goals.

Group F
It was a good night for Group F's Fife duo as Dunfermline were 4-0 winners against Annan Athletic at East End Park while Raith Rovers beat Albion Rovers 2-0 at Stark's Park.

Group G
Motherwell and Queen of the South produced a thrilling six-goal thriller at Palmerston Park. Gavin Reilly scored a brace for the hosts while Blair Spittal hit a double for 'Well as Ricki Lamie was sent off for the cinch Premiership side. The match went to penalties where Motherwell came out on top 5-4 to earn a bonus point.

Group H
Forfar Athletic claimed the Angus bragging rights as they defeated Montrose 2-1 at Links Park to top Group H. Arbroath host Cowdenbeath on Wednesday. Arbroath take on Cowdenbeath on Wednesday evening as they start their 2023/24 campaign.
