James Tavernier
The Rangers captain continues to post big numbers with eight goals and three assists to his name already this term.
The defender’s mentality has drawn praise from the new man in the Ibrox dugout and he’ll be counting on his skipper to produce another big performance at the national stadium.
Known for his set play delivery and energy to progress up and down the right flank, Tavernier has found the net with some spectacular strikes including August’s SPFL Goal of the Month against Ross County.
Todd Cantwell
Playmaker Cantwell’s Rangers career was yet to begin when the Light Blues faced Aberdeen in last season’s Semi-Final, but he did come off the bench in February’s final as the Ibrox side finished as runners up.
Having returned from injury, Rangers’ midfield creator will determined to go one better this time around. One of the most exciting Premiership players with the ball at his feet, Cantwell gets supporters on the edge of their seats and can play a killer pass at a moment’s notice.
His last Rangers goal came against Sunday’s opponents and there would be no better time for Cantwell to get off the mark for season 23/24 than this match.
Abdallah Sima
On loan from English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, Sima really kickstarted his Rangers career with a wonderful goal against PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Champions League Play-Off.
The 22-year-old now has nine goals to his name, including five on league business to become a real fans’ favourite.
Capable of playing as a wide forward or as an orthodox wide midfielder, Sima’s pace and willingness to unleash a strike on goal has impressed coaches and pundits alike.
Will Sima thrive on the open spaces which can appear in a showpiece match at Hampden? We will have just have to wait and see this Sunday.
