Weekend in numbers

We look at some of the numbers from the weekend's SPFL matches...

6 Celtic hit Ross County for six on Saturday, winning 6-0 to maintain their 100% home record in the Ladbrokes Premiership. Neil Lennon's men have scored an impressive 19 goals in their four matches at Celtic Park - seven against St Johnstone, three against Hearts and Kilmarnock and now six against the Staggies. Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Hearts on Sunday means Celtic are top of the table on goals scored (28-27), with the teams level on points (22) and goal difference (21).

3 Aberdeen moved to within a point of third-placed Motherwell with a 3-0 win at Fir Park in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Saturday. Sam Cosgrove, Niall McGinn and Zak Vyver all scored excellent goals for the Dons, who notched up their biggest away victory over Well since 1983/84, when Alex Ferguson's men triumphed 4-0 en route to winning the Premier Division title.

4 Queen of the South thumped Ladbrokes Championship leaders Dundee United 4-0 at Palmerston to jump to fourth place in the table. The Doonhamers have the best defensive record in the division but had only scored four goals in their eight Championship matches before Saturday. Allan Johnston's men doubled their tally in the space of  90 minutes, helped by a double from Stephen Dobbie - his first league goals of the season. United remain top of the table, on goal difference from Ayr United, but have now lost three away matches on the trot without scoring.

3 Partick Thistle scored three times in the last five minutes to claim a dramatic 3-1 victory over Dundee at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park. Kenny Miller, Shea Gordon and Lewis Mansell were on target for the Jags, who have won both away games in the Ladbrokes Championship since Ian McCall took over as manager. Thistle remain bottom of the table but, remarkably, are only four points off the promotion play-offs.

10 East Fife remain the only unbeaten team in the SPFL this season after defeating Forfar Athletic 1-0 at the Locality Hub Bayview Stadium on Saturday to move level on points with Ladbrokes League 1 leaders Raith Rovers, who were held to a 2-2 draw at Clyde. Darren Young's men have won five and drawn five of their 10 matches so far and face Rovers in a huge game at Stark’s Park on Saturday.
