4 – Livingston thumped Dundee 4-0 at the Kilmac Stadium, Dens Park, to climb to seventh place in the cinch Premiership. Bruce Anderson netted a double to take his league tally to 11 goals for the season, with Scott Pittman and Jack Fitzwater adding the others. This was the first time the Lions had managed four goals in an away league match since January 2020, when they beat Hamilton Accies 4-2. It equalled Livingston’s biggest ever away win in the top flight – their most recent four-goal away win at this level was back in October 2002 when they defeated Motherwell 5-1 at Fir Park thanks to goals from Lee Makel, Cherif Toure-Maman (2), David Bingham and Davide Xausa.
5 – Ross County moved further clear of the relegation zone in the cinch Premiership thanks to a 3-1 victory over St Johnstone at the Global Energy Stadium. The league’s top scorer Regan Charles-Cook scored a double to take his tally to 13, before Joseph Hungbo rounded off the victory. Malky Mackay’s side are now unbeaten in five home matches, and their only defeat in the last nine in Dingwall came against leaders Celtic. The Staggies have lost just one of their last 11 matches against Saints – they’ve picked up four wins and six draws in that period.
1 – Queen of the South defeated Ayr United 1-0 at Somerset Park to boost their survival chances in the cinch Championship. Aidan Fitzpatrick scored the only goal of the game to move Willie Gibson’s side to within a point of Dunfermline Athletic at the foot of the table. This was the Doonhamers’ first win in eight matches – their last victory also came against Ayr in Dumfries in December. Queens have now won five of their last eight matches against the Honest Men stretching back to November 2019.
3 – Peterhead climbed out of the bottom two in cinch League 1 thanks to a thrilling 4-3 victory over nine-man Dumbarton. A Hamish Ritchie double and goals from Russell McLean and Grant Savoury gave Jim McInally’s side a victory which moved them two points above their opponents in the battle to avoid the drop. It was the Blue Toon’s first win in eight league matches, with their last victory being a 3-2 success in their last match against the Sons back in December. Indeed, Peterhead have won all three of their matches against Dumbarton this season, which accounts for just under a third of their entire points tally.
5 – Elgin City picked up a 3-1 victory over Stirling Albion at Borough Briggs to end a run of five straight defeats in cinch League 2. Darryl McHardy, Rabin Omar and Kane Hester scored the goals to hand Gavin Price’s side three crucial points which takes them to seventh in the table, nine points clear of bottom side Cowdenbeath. The Black and Whites have now picked up seven wins in their last nine matches against the Binos, with their only loss in that period coming in October.
