8 - Greenock Morton moved to within a point of cinch Championship leaders Ayr United courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Cove Rangers at Balmoral Stadium. Robbie Crawford scored a late winner for Dougie Imrie's side after Jaze Kabia's opener had been cancelled out by Leighton McIntosh. Morton have picked up six wins and two draws in their last eight matches to climb from eighth to second in the Championship table. This run of eight matches without defeat is their best unbeaten sequence in all competitions since the opening eight games of the 2016/17 season. This was Morton's third win in three meetings with Cove, and they have all been at different grounds - the first was at Cove's old Allan Park ground in the 2004/05 Scottish Cup and the second was earlier this season at Cappielow.
5 - Queen's Park thumped Raith Rovers 5-2 at Stark's Park to move to within two points of the top of the cinch Championship table. Doubles from Simon Murray and Dom Thomas plus a goal from Jack Thomson helped Owen Coyle's side pick up their fourth away league win of the season. The Spiders netted five goals in an away league match for the first time since they defeated Montrose 6-1 at Links Park in November 2015. The victory ended a run of five consecutive defeats for Queen's Park in Kirkcaldy - their last win was back in March 2008.
4 - Edinburgh pulled off a stunning comeback to beat Alloa Athletic 4-3 at Meadowbank and move back up to third place in cinch League 1. The Wasps raced into a 3-0 lead inside 17 minutes but a hat-trick from Ryan Shanley and another goal from Danny Handling, in addition to a penalty save from keeper Robbie Mutch, secured Alan Maybury's side an unexpected three points. It was the first time a side had rallied from three goals down to win an SPFL match since Stenhousemuir beat Peterhead 4-3 in October 2015. Shanley was the second player to score a hat-trick for Edinburgh this season - Danny Handling also netted three in a 3-2 win over Stranraer in the SPFL Trust Trophy in August.
4 - Queen of the South thrashed Montrose 4-0 at Palmerston to boost their hopes of making the play-offs in cinch League 1. Ruari Paton scored twice in the first half and Gavin Reilly and Josh Todd secured an emphatic victory for Willie Gibson's side, moving them to within five points of their opponents in the final play-off spot. It was the Doonhamers' biggest league win since they beat Dundee United by the same scoreline back in October 2019. Queens are now unbeaten in their last seven matches with Montrose in Dumfries - they've picked up six wins and a draw since their last defeat way back in November 1992.
6 - Albion Rovers defeated Stranraer 1-0 at the Reigart Stadium to climb to seventh place in cinch League 2. Callum Wilson scored the only goal of the game to move Brian Reid's side four points clear of Forfar Athletic at the foot of the table and to within four points of East Fife in the final promotion play-off spot. Rovers are now unbeaten in six matches in all competitions for the first time since March-April 2017 - their sixth match in that run was also a home win against Stranraer.
