3 – Livingston defeated Hibernian 3-2 at Easter Road to pick up their first cinch Premiership victory of the season. An early Jordan Obita own goal was followed by goals from Bruce Anderson and Mo Sangare which ensured David Martindale's side took all three points. This was Livingston's first away league win since January, when they defeated St Johnstone 4-2 at McDiarmid Park. The Lions have won five of their last seven matches against Hibs, including another 3-2 win at the same venue in January 2022.
9 – Dundee picked up their first win since returning to the cinch Premiership by defeating Heart of Midlothian 1-0 at the Kilmac Stadium. Luke McCowan's second-half goal gave Tony Docherty's side the victory, which leaves them as one of four sides with four points from their opening three matches. It took Dundee nine matches to record their first win in their last top-flight spell, but they are off the mark after just three this time. The Dee are now unbeaten in their last nine home matches in all competitions, stretching back to March – this is their best run since they went 11 without defeat between February 2020 and January 2021.
13 – Arbroath secured their first points of the cinch Championship season by swatting aside Morton 3-0 at Cappielow. Goals from Michael McKenna, an Iain Wilson own goal and Joao Balde helped Dick Campbell’s side shake off their poor start to the season to take all three points. It was the Red Lichties’ biggest league win since they defeated the same opponents by the same scoreline at Gayfield on the final day of the 2021/22 season. Arbroath are now unbeaten in their last 13 matches against Morton, a run which stretches back to March 2020, and includes six wins and seven draws.
4 – Hamilton Academical defeated Montrose 1-0 at New Douglas Park to continue their perfect start to the cinch League 1 season. Dylan Tait’s early goal was enough to make it four wins out of four for John Rankin’s side. This is Accies’ best league start in exactly a decade – they also kicked off the 2013/14 season with four wins, and would ultimately finish that season with promotion to the top flight. Hamilton have won 20 of their last 23 matches against the Gable Endies, losing just once.
4 – Dumbarton climbed to the top of cinch League 2 thanks to a 4-2 victory over Stenhousemuir at Ochilview. A Ross MacLean double and goals from Sean Crighton and James Hilton helped Stevie Farrell’s side race into a 4-0 lead inside 42 minutes. This is the first time the Sons have scored four goals in the first half of a match since August 2011, when they defeated East Fife 6-0 at Bayview. The Sons top the table on goal difference – they are one of four clubs with eight points from their opening four matches, the others being Bonnyrigg Rose, Spartans and Stranraer.
