5 – Rangers defeated Celtic 3-1 at Celtic Park to move level on points with their rivals in the William Hill Premiership table. Danny Rohl’s side trailed at half-time, but a double from Youssef Chermiti and a goal from Mikey Moore sealed a crucial victory to keep the Light Blues six points behind league leaders Heart of Midlothian. Rangers are unbeaten in their last five league derbies – the last time they managed this was during their 2020/21 title-winning campaign. The last time Rangers came from behind to win at Celtic Park was back in October 2010 when a Glenn Loovens own goal and a double from Kenny Miller gave them another 3-1 victory.
3 – Dundee moved further clear of the relegation places in the William Hill Premiership thanks to a 1-0 victory over rivals Dundee United at Tannadice. Ashley Hay scored the only goal as Steven Pressley’s side moved nine points clear of 11th-placed Kilmarnock, and just five points off the final top-six spot. The Dees have recorded three consecutive league wins in the top flight for the first time since October-November 2014 under Paul Hartley. Dundee also won on their last visit to Tannadice in March – this is the first time since 1998/99 that they have recorded back-to-back away wins in Dundee derbies.
3 – Partick Thistle remain five points off the top of the William Hill Championship after they came from behind to beat Greenock Morton 3-2 at the Wyre Stadium at Firhill. Mark Wilson’s side were 2-0 down at half-time, but goals from Ben Stanway and Kyle Turner levelled things up before Tony Watt scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner. It is the first time in almost 20 years that the Jags have come from two goals behind to win a match – the last time they did so was in April 2006, when a double from Stephen McConalogue and a goal from Mark Roberts helped them to a 3-2 away win over Dumbarton. The last time they did so at Firhill was just a few months earlier, with McConalogue again among the scorers as they came from 2-0 down to beat Alloa Athletic 4-3 in December 2005. Thistle have the best home record in the division – they have eight wins and three draws from 11 home league matches.
15 – Stenhousemuir climbed to the top of William Hill League 1 courtesy of a 2-0 win over Queen of the South at Ochilview. Goals from Matty Aitken and Nicky Jamieson ensured that Gary Naysmith’s side moved a point clear of Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the summit, although the Caley Jags have two games in hand. The Warriors are now unbeaten in 15 home matches in all competitions, winning 11 and drawing four since losing to Alloa Athletic on the opening day of the league season. This is Stenhousemuir’s best home unbeaten run in 92 years, since they went 16 without defeat from August 1932-February 1933, though they still have some way to go to match the club record of 24 games.
10 – Spartans beat Dumbarton 2-0 at the Vanloq Community Stadium to move eight points clear at the top of William Hill League 2. Bradley Whyte and Marc McNulty scored the goals as Dougie Samuel’s side recorded a third consecutive league win. Spartans have lost just one of their last 10 league matches, winning five and drawing four, with the only defeat coming against Stranraer in November. Saturday’s match was the 10th competitive meeting of these clubs, and Spartans’ victory equalled the head-to-head record at three wins apiece, with the other four finishing as draws.
