3 – Falkirk thumped Hibernian 4-1 at the Falkirk Stadium to move to within two points of their opponents in the race for 5th place in the William Hill Premiership and a potential European spot. A Barney Stewart hat-trick plus a Grant Hanley own goal gave John McGlynn’s side their biggest Premiership win of the season. Stewart is the first player to score a hat-trick in the Premiership this season, and the first for Falkirk in the top flight since Alan Gow on New Year’s Day 2007 in a 5-1 win at Tannadice. This was the Bairns’ biggest win over Hibs in over 60 years, since they beat them 3-0 at Easter Road back in April 1963.
6 – Aberdeen climbed to 7th place in the William Hill Premiership table after thrashing Livingston 6-2 at Pittodrie. Doubles from Kevin Nisbet and Topi Keskinen plus a goal apiece from Kenan Bilalovic and Sivert Nilsen ended the Dons’ run of six league matches without a win. The last time Aberdeen scored six goals in a Premiership match was back in May 2017, when Scott Wright (3), Ryan Christie (2) and Jonny Hayes got the goals in a 6-0 win at Firhill. The Dons are now unbeaten in their last eight meetings with Livi in all competitions, winning five and drawing three since their last defeat in November 2022.
4 – Raith Rovers defeated Queen’s Park 4-1 at Stark’s Park to move to within a point of the top four in the William Hill Championship. Jack Hamilton netted a hat-trick, with Josh Mullin grabbing the other goal as Dougie Imrie’s side picked up their first league win of 2026. It was just the second treble of Hamilton’s career – the other came for Arbroath against Darvel in the Scottish Cup in January 2022. This was Rovers’ first home win over the Spiders in five attempts – they had lost two and drawn two since their last victory back in September 2023.
5 – Queen of the South kept in touch at the top of William Hill League 1 thanks to a 5-1 victory over East Fife at MGM Timber Bayview Stadium. Jack Stott, Kai Kennedy, Matty Douglas, Brennan Dickinson and Jordan Allan were all on the scoresheet for Peter Murphy’s side to ensure they remain just three points behind Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Stenhousemuir. Allan’s goal was his first since last April, in just his second substitute appearance since returning from injury. This is the first time in almost seven years that the Doonhamers have scored five times in a game – the last time they did so was a 5-0 play-off win over Montrose in May 2019, with Stephen Dobbie (3), Lyndon Dykes and Michael Doyle getting the goals.
10 – Clyde beat The Spartans 2-1 at New Douglas Park to move to within six points of the William Hill League 2 leaders. A Jordan Tapping own goal and a goal from Robbie Leitch ended a run of four games without a win in all competitions for Darren Young’s side. This was the Bully Wee's first ever league win over Spartans, ending a run of 10 matches without a win against the Edinburgh side. Clyde’s only previous win over Spartans in any competition was a 5-0 victory in the Scottish Cup back in January 1999.
