Some facts and figures ahead of the second weekend of SPFL games

Ladbrokes Premiership

Dundee v Aberdeen

  • Aberdeen have won each of the last nine meetings between the teams
  • The only Dens Park meeting last season was a 1-0 Aberdeen win in December
  • Dundee's last league victory over the Dons was 1-0 at Dens Park in December 2004

Heart of Midlothian v Celtic (Sky Sports, 12.30pm)

  • Celtic have won nine of their last 10 games against Hearts
  • Hearts were 4-0 winners in the first meeting at Tynecastle last season
  • Craig Levein's side top the table after the first round of fixtures
  • There have only been two 0-0 draws between the teams in the last 20 years

Livingston v Kilmarnock

  • This is the first match on Livingston’s new artificial surface
  • It’s the first meeting since Kilmarnock won 2-1 in a League Cup tie in September 2006
  • Most recent Premiership encounter at Livingston was a 3-0 success for Killie in November 2005
  • Kilmarnock kicked off with a 2-0 win over St Johnstone while Livingston lost 3-1 to Celtic

Motherwell v Hamilton Academical

  • Motherwell won 3-0 at Fir Park in the most recent Lanarkshire derby in May
  • Accies beat their local rivals 3-1 on their first visit to Fir Park last season
  • Both sides are looking to bounce back from opening-defeats in the Premiership

Rangers v St Mirren (Sunday)

  • The teams last met in May 2016 - a 2-2 draw in the Ladbrokes Championship
  • St Mirren's last win over Rangers was 2-1 in Paisley on Christmas Eve 2011
  • Steven Gerrard and Alan Stubbs are both unbeaten as managers since taking over in the summer

St Johnstone v Hibernian (Sunday)

  • Both meetings at McDiarmid Park last season ended in 1-1 draws
  • Hibs haven't beaten Saints in the Premiership since a 2-1 win in Perth in September 2013
  • The 0-0 draw with Molde was only the second time since January Hibs have failed to score

Alloa Athletic v Morton

  • The sides last met in season 2015/16, when Morton took 10 points out of 12
  • Alloa's last win over Morton was 2-0 at the Indodrill Stadium in April 2014
  • Alloa lost their opener 1-0 at Ross County while Morton drew 2-2 with QOS

Dunfermline Athletic v Ross County

  • The teams last met in 2015/16 when Ross County won after a replay in the Scottish Cup
  • The clubs haven't met on league business since the First Division campaign of 2010/11
  • Dunfermline won two of the games that season, the other two were draws

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Ayr United

  • Most recent meeting was a 1-0 League Cup win for Ayr at Somerset Park in August 2011
  • The last league meeting between the teams was a 7-0 triumph for ICT at Somerset in April 2010
  • Both games in the Highland capital that season were draws: 0-0 and 3-3

Partick Thistle v Falkirk

  • This is the first meeting since Falkirk won a League Cup tie 1-0 at Firhill in August 2015
  • The last league encounter was a 2-0 success for Thistle at Falkirk in April 2013
  • Both teams are bidding to bounce back from opening-weekend defeats

  • The four Championship meetings last season produced two wins apiece

Airdrieonians v Montrose

  • Airdrie scored three late goals to beat Forfar 3-1 in their opening league game
  • Montrose lost 4-0 to Arbroath in their first League 1 game for more than 20 years
  • Their last meeting was a Challenge Cup tie in August 2003, which Airdrie won 2-0

Arbroath v Stranraer

  • Stranraer won on both visits to Gayfield last season: 2-1 and 3-2
  • Arbroath triumphed 6-2 and 4-1 at Stair Park in 2017/18
  • Only two of the last eight meetings have been won by the home club

Brechin City v East Fife

  • The sides last met in 2016/17, notching up two wins apiece
  • The most recent Glebe Park encounter saw Brechin win 2-1 in March 2017
  • Both teams lost their opening league games of this season

Dumbarton v Forfar Athletic

  • The last meeting was a Betfred Cup tie in 2016 which Forfar won on penalties after a 2-2 draw
  • The most recent league meeting was a 1-0 home win for Dumbarton in March 2012
  • The Sons are seeking an immediate return to the Championship after relegation via the play-offs

Raith Rovers v Stenhousemuir

  • The last meeting was three years ago when Stenhousemuir won 2-0 in the Challenge Cup
  • This is the first season since 2002/03 that the teams have played in the same division
  • This is the first match on the new artificial surface at Stark's Park

Albion Rovers v Peterhead

  • The sides last met in 2016/17 when three of the four matches were draws
  • The last Cliftonhill clash ended 0-0 in March 2017
  • Albion Rovers have yet to score in five league and cup matches this season

Cowdenbeath v Annan Athletic

  • Annan won 2-0 at Central Park when the sides last met in April
  • Annan are unbeaten in their last nine games against Cowdenbeath
  • The Blue Brazil's last victory in this fixture was 1-0 in January 2009

Elgin City v Edinburgh City

  • The eight League 2 meetings have produced four Elgin wins, two for City and two draws
  • Both meetings at Borough Briggs last season ended 1-1
  • Edinburgh City are top of the table after beating Albion Rovers 4-0 last week

Queen's Park v Berwick Rangers

  • The last meeting was a 3-2 win for Queen's Park at Shielfield in last season's Betfred Cup
  • The most recent league games were in 2015/16: two 1-0 wins for Berwick and two draws
  • Berwick kicked off with a 1-0 win against Stirling while Queen's Park drew at Peterhead

Stirling Albion v Clyde

  • Clyde won 2-1 when the sides met at Broadwood in April
  • Stirling were 2-1 winners in the most recent Forthbank encounter in February
  • There has not been a 0-0 draw between the teams since 1993/94
