Weekend preview

A look ahead to a huge weekend of football in the SPFL

cinch Premiership
The post-split fixtures get under way on Saturday when Motherwell host Rangers, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon. The other top-six matches are on Sunday, with leaders Celtic up against Ross County in Dingwall, live on Sky Sports at 2.30pm, while Dundee United host Heart of Midlothian at 3.00pm. The big game in the bottom six on Saturday sees Dundee take on St Johnstone at the Kilmac Stadium. The Dark Blues are five points adrift of Saints at the foot of the table. St Mirren are at home to Hibernian and Aberdeen welcome Livingston to Pittodrie.

cinch Championship
There's a massive match at Rugby Park this evening as Kilmarnock go head to head with Arbroath in the title race. Victory for Killie would see them crowned champions while a win for the Red Lichties would take them top of the table with one game to go. On Saturday, bottom club Queen of the South must beat ninth-placed Ayr United at Palmerston to have any chance of avoiding relegation. There's another big game at Firhill where fourth-placed Partick Thistle take on a Dunfermline Athletic side only just outside the relegation zone. Raith Rovers, three points short of the play-offs, go to Hamilton Accies.

cinch League 1
Cove Rangers will be crowned champions if they beat Dumbarton at Balmoral Stadium or if closest challengers Airdrieonians fail to beat Clyde in the Bully Wee's last match at Broadwood following the news they are to groundshare at Hamilton next season. Montrose host Queen's Park, with both clubs having secured play-off places and Peterhead are safe as they prepare to play relegated East Fife at Balmoor. Falkirk and Alloa Athletic meet in a mid-table clash.

cinch League 2
It’s trophy weekend for champions Kelty Hearts, who face Forfar Athletic at New Central Park on Saturday, having wrapped up the title last month. Fourth-placed Edinburgh City play Annan Athletic at Ainslie Park this evening while play-off rivals Stenhousemuir are at home to Stranraer tomorrow. Elgin City welcome bottom club Cowdenbeath to Borough Briggs and it’s Albion Rovers v Stirling Albion in Coatbridge.
