5 cinch Premiership leaders Celtic have won all five home league games this season, scoring 16 goals and conceding just two. Ange Postecoglou’s side host Dundee United on Saturday, having already racked up a 9-0 win at Tannadice this term. Celtic are four points ahead of Rangers, who are away to St Johnstone on Sunday, live on Sky Sports at 12 noon.
1 There’s only one point between third-placed Hibernian and fourth-placed Aberdeen ahead of their Friday night clash at Pittodrie. Hibs head north on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over St Mirren while the Dons are looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss at Ibrox. Lee Johnson’s men beat Aberdeen 3-1 at Easter Road in September.
3 Ayr United have a three-point lead at the top of the cinch Championship going into Saturday’s Somerset clash with second-placed Morton. In a remarkably tight division, Raith Rovers are only two points off second spot despite sitting seventh. Ayr ran out 2-1 winners at Cappielow at the beginning of September and have lost just once at home this season.
4 Dunfermline Athletic are three points ahead of FC Edinburgh at the top of cinch League 1 and four in front of Falkirk, who they face at the Falkirk Stadium on Saturday. It was 1-1 between the teams at East End Park earlier in the season. Dunfermline’s away record of four wins, one draw and one defeat is identical to Falkirk’s home record this season.
6 Stirling Albion are on a run of six straight league wins and top the cinch League 2 table, ahead of Dumbarton on goal difference. Both clubs are six points clear of third-placed East Fife going into the weekend. The Binos are aiming for seven victories in a row when they take on Albion Rovers in Coatbridge but they were held to a 1-1 draw when the sides met at Forthbank in August. Dumbarton host a Stranraer side who ended the Sons’ seven-game winning streak with a 3-2 success at Stair Park in September.
