Weekend preview in numbers

There's another big weekend of football coming up across all four divisions of the cinch SPFL...

3 The leading four clubs in the cinch Premiership are separated by just three points, with the first phase of the season now complete. Rangers, who face Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, have a two-point advantage at the top. Celtic are in second place and on a run of four straight Premiership wins as they prepare to host Livingston on Saturday. Unbeaten Heart of Midlothian travel to Pittodrie to play an Aberdeen side who drew at Ibrox in midweek. Dundee United, who haven’t lost a league game since August, are up against St Johnstone at Tannadice.

5 Ross County thumped Dundee 5-0 at the Kilmac Stadium on Wednesday to claim their first cinch Premiership win of the season in style and move to within a point of the Dark Blues at the foot of the table. The Staggies are at home to Hibernian on Saturday, with the Easter Road men having suffered four defeats this month. Dundee are away to a St Mirren team whose only defeat in eight matches came against Rangers last weekend.

9 There's a four-way tie at the top of the SPFL scoring charts, with Michael McKenna (Arbroath), David Goodwillie (Clyde), Rory McAllister (Cove Rangers) and Graham Webster (Montrose) all having netted nine league goals so far. Kelty Hearts striker Nathan Austin is next on the list with eight. Martin Boyle (Hibernian) and Tony Watt (Motherwell) share the lead in the cinch Premiership, with seven goals each.

1 Kilmarnock moved to the top of the cinch Championship in midweek thanks to victory in the Ayrshire derby while Inverness CT lost to Arbroath. The sides are level on points and goal difference, with Killie at the summit on goals scored. Tommy Wright’s team face Queen of the South at Rugby Park on Saturday while Billy Dodds’ men are in Glasgow to face Partick Thistle.

20 Queen’s Park, Cove Rangers and Airdrieonians are separated only by goal difference at the top of cinch League 1, with all three clubs on 20 points after 11 matches. There’s a big game at the Balmoral Stadium this weekend as Cove host a Queen’s Park side who saw their unbeaten run ended in a dramatic 4-3 defeat to Alloa Athletic on Sunday. Airdrieonians, who have won five of their last six league matches, play Alloa at the Indodrill Stadium on Saturday.

6 It’s first against second in cinch League 2 as Kelty Hearts welcome Stirling Albion to New Central Park. The Fife club are six points clear at the summit and are unbeaten after 10 league matches while the Binos have put together a seven-match undefeated sequence in League 2 since losing at Annan on August 14. Kelty won 3-1 at Forthbank in the first meeting of the teams this season.
