2 Dundee United failed to win any of their first eight cinch Premiership matches but beat Aberdeen 4-0 last weekend and followed that up with a 1-0 victory over Hibernian on Tuesday. That lifted Liam Fox’s men off the foot of the table on goal difference at the expense of Ross County, who they face in Dingwall tomorrow.
3 The top six clubs in the cinch Championship are separated by only three points in an incredibly tight division. Partick Thistle top the table on goal difference from Ayr United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, with Queen's Park a point further back. Dundee and Morton are the other two clubs within one win of the summit. Leaders Partick Thistle are away to struggling Hamilton Accies on Saturday.
5 FC Edinburgh have won five of their last six matches in cinch League 1 and have a two-point lead over unbeaten Dunfermline Athletic at the top of the table. The sides meet at East End Park on Saturday while it’s fourth v third at Links Park as Montrose host Falkirk.

The Binos thrashed Dumbarton 6-0 at Forthbank last weekend to close the gap on the leaders to two points with a fourth straight win. Darren Young's side go to Stenhousemuir tomorrow - the Warriors have won four and drawn two of their last six outings. Elgin City beat Albion Rovers 1-0 on Tuesday to make it four wins and a draw in their past five matches. Gavin Price's team take on bottom club Forfar Athletic at Borough Briggs on Saturday.
