Elgin City boss Barry Wilson is not keen on using full-back Paul McMullan between now and the end of the season in case he jeopardises the 30-year-old’s chances of getting a contract either at Borough Briggs or elsewhere.
The former Hearts, Berwick Rangers and Clyde player has been out of action for two months due to an ankle injury.
Wilson said: “Paul has been out for a few weeks and not even had any bounce games. I could throw him into a game but if he is not properly ready we could be doing him more damage.
“If he is injured over the summer he may not get a deal here or elsewhere and it is not fair to put him into that position.”
