Griffiths goal gives Celtic victory over Hibs

Leigh Griffiths came back to haunt his former club as his close range first-half finish was enough for Celtic to claim all three points at home to Hibernian.

After Scott Sinclair had spurned a good opportunity to give the Hoops the lead, Griffiths pounced to volley home Kieran Tierney's cross. The Scotland striker hobbled off moments later, and Celtic also lost goalkeeper Craig Gordon to injury at half-time but Hibs couldn't muster a reply, with John McGinn's low shot which was well saved by substitute Dorus de Vries the closest they came.
