Shire end 28-year wait with win over Stirling | Stirling Albion 1-3 East Stirlingshire, 24/08/2013

East Stirlingshire ended a 28-year wait as they recorded a fine 3-1 victory over local rivals Stirling Albion at Forthbank. It was Shire's first success in Stirling since a 1-0 victory at Annfield in August 1985 and came on the back of a 9-1 Forthbank loss in March.

Michael Bolochoweckyj opened the scoring just five minutes into the game and Paul Quinn shot home the second midway through the first half. Jordan McKechnie was handily placed to tap home his first goal for the Shire after a Max Wright shot came back off a post eight minutes after the restart. Jordan White pulled a goal back with 12 minutes left.
