East Fife were victorious at Bayview in a match where both teams were reduced to 10 men. The Fifers went two up early on thanks to a header from Scott Durie and a penalty from Liam Buchanan. Alan Cook pulled one back with a low and nippy free kick just before half time but the Red Lichties failed to add to their tally.
Former Hearts, Everton and Aberdeen defender Gary Naysmith made his debut for the home side.
