Classic Match! Dundee 1-2 Dundee United (14/05/1983) | SPFL Classics

This week's Throw Back Thursday comes from May 1983, when Dundee United won the league with a win against their fierce rivals Dundee at Dens Park. A superb chip from Ralph Milne after four minutes triggered delirious celebrations from the away support before Eamonn Bannon doubled the advantage just seven minutes late, scoring the rebound after his penalty was saved by Colin Kelly. Dundee claimed a goal back through Iain Ferguson after 28 minutes, but it wasn't enough to prevent United from winning the league title for the first ever time.
