Aberdeen have signed former Inverness CT striker Adam Rooney from Oldham on a contract until the summer of 2016.
The 25-year-old began his career with Stoke City before starting a successful spell with Caley Thistle in 2008.
He moved to Birmingham in 2011 then had a stint on loan at Swindon but the former Republic of Ireland U21 forward has now been tempted north of the border for a second time.
Dons boss Derek McInnes told the club website: "Adam is a proven goalscorer and he has the quality to add something to our team. There were other clubs keen to take him and it's great that he wants to be part of what we're doing here at Aberdeen.
"I've said all along that I'll only bring in players who I believe will add something to the squad and Adam certainly ticks that box."
