The 21-year-old has worked his way back to full fitness following knee surgery last year and joins Celtic after scoring 16 goals in 41 appearances for Well.
He said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be here, especially after what happened last year, and I'm ready to hit the ground running. I feel I've started well this season and I want to carry that on with Celtic.
“I want to thank everyone at Motherwell - the staff, players and the fans - for everything they’ve done for me so far in my career."
