Coaching team look to get back involved

Father and son look to coach again

East Stirling father and son coaching team, Derek and Daniel McKenzie, have opted to leave the League 2 club in the wake of head coach John Coughlin leaving and Craig Tully being appointed.

The duo looked after the Shire’s reserve side last season however after the club opted to run with an under-20 team next season the McKenzie’s decided to look for new posts.

Daniel McKenzie said: “We would like to think we have experience that would be attractive to other clubs. We have consistently produced players for the Shire’s first team and before that we won 3 trophies in just 18 months with a junior side.”

“We have an Elite Youth A Licence, a UEFA B Licence as well a degree in sports studies between us and hopefully will help us get back in.”

If you would like to contact Derek and Daniel please e-mail [email protected].
