Celtic need a point against Inverness CT on Sunday to clinch the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title for the eighth time and will be crowned champions if Motherwell fail to beat Dundee United at Tannadice on Friday night. We look back at where and when Celtic won their previous seven titles:

2000/01 - Celtic (Martin O’Neill) – April 7
Tommy Johnson scored the only goal against St Mirren at Parkhead as Martin O’Neill won the trophy in his first season in Celtic’s final match before the split.

2001/02 - Celtic (Martin O’Neill) – April 6
Henrik Larsson grabbed a hat-trick and John Hartson scored twice in Celtic’s 5-1 home win over Livingston as they retained the title in their first post-split fixture.

2003/04 - Celtic (Martin O’Neill) – April 18
Stilian Petrov’s goal ended the title race at Rugby Park with six games to go – at which point Celtic’s record was 29 wins and three draws from 32 matches.

2005/06 - Celtic (Gordon Strachan) – April 5
John Hartson’s early goal wrapped up the championship before the split as Celtic beat second-placed Hearts 1-0 at Parkhead.

2006/07 - Celtic (Gordon Strachan) – April 22
Shunsuke Nakamura scored a late winner from a free-kick as Celtic beat Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park to take the title with four games to spare.

2007/08 - Celtic (Gordon Strachan) – May 22
The Old Firm went into the last night level on points but Celtic prevailed thanks to a Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink header at Tannadice as Rangers lost 2-0 at Aberdeen.

2011/12 - Celtic (Neil Lennon) - April 7

Doubles from Charlie Mulgrew and Gary Hooper and goals from Joe Ledley and Glenn Loovens saw Celtic clinch the title in style with a 6-0 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park before the split.
