Former Aberdeen striker Darren Mackie made his first appearance as a Turriff United player on Wednesday night.
The 31-year-old, who ended a 14-year association with the Dons last summer, returned to the North East last month after a spell in America but a lack of international clearance cost him a debut in the Scottish Cup against Stirling Albion.
Mackie managed 72 minutes in Turriff’s Aberdeenshire Shield quarter-final at Fraserburgh, with his new side winning 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw.
