Motherwell defender Simon Ramsden faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing minor knee surgery this week.
The former Bradford player picked up the injury in Saturday 1-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle and will miss the forthcoming games with Celtic and Aberdeen.
Manager Stuart McCall told the club website: "We are obviously disappointed that Rammers will miss the next two games as he's performed so well for us this season. Thankfully, it's not too bad and he should be back in action next month."
Meanwhile, keeper Lee Hollis is expected to be out for at least another six weeks after undergoing ankle surgery.
