Connor Ronan headed a stoppage-time winner as St Mirren beat Dundee 1-0 in a twice-postponed match at the Kilmac Stadium on Wednesday night.
The victory means Saints, who are in ninth spot, are just one point behind fourth-placed Hibernian with three rounds of fixtures until the split.
The Dark Blues remain bottom of the cinch Premiership table, one point below St Johnstone.
