Former Falkirk, Hamilton, Dundee and Killie man heads across Irish Sea

Former Falkirk, Bradford City, Hamilton Accies, Dundee and Kilmarnock striker Mark Stewart who was released by the Rugby Park side last month has joined Irish side Derry City.

The 25-year-old made 77 appearances for the Bairns and scored 19 times before heading to Yorkshire in 2011 and he moved to Dens Park the following year.

After 3 goals for the Dark Blues Stewart moved at Ayrshire however he was let go by manager Allan Johnston after starting only two games.  Stewart was on trial with the Candystripes last week and did enough to impress manager Roddy Collins who has signed him for the Airtricity Premier Division side.
